Transesterification of Rapeseed Oil by Glycerol over Basic Oxides
Abstract
The ZnO/Al2O3, ZnO–MgO/Al2O3, ZnO–La2O3/Al2O3, MgO–La2O3/Al2O3, CaO–ZnO/Al2O3 oxide systems were synthesized and their textural parameters, concentration, and strength of basic sites were determined. There was shown that synthesized oxides catalyzed glycerolysis of rapeseed oil at 220–240°С. The yield of monoglycerides over ZnO–CaO/Al2O3 catalyst was of 0.2 mmol gcat-1h-1 with selectivity of 58% at oil conversion of 90%.References
