Abstract

Based on the results of processing of numerous data of benzene adsorption on silica surface with grafted superficial compounds, it has been shown that the capability of the BET equation of the adsorption isotherm is strongly restricted for defining the textural parameters and fractal dimensionalities of their surface. For achieving a more reliable definition of structural performances of such sorbents, the GAB or Aranovich equations of the adsorption isotherm are suggested to apply instead of the BET one.
