Abstract

Scanning electron microscopy, low-temperature nitrogen adsorption and laser diffraction techniques were used to determine changes in surface morphology, porosity, specific surface area and particle size of natural mineral sorbent with montmorillonite and clinoptilolite structural components modified with solutions of sulfuric acid and sodium hydroxide. The catalytic characteristics has been found due to the number of acidic and basic sites on natural and modified sorbent samples using a test reaction of methyllbutinol conversion.
